Food bank and hospice benefit from Guns vs Hoses game in Tiverton

The annual Guns vs Hoses game took place in Tiverton, and it resulted in a substantial donation to the Kincardine Food Bank and Huron Shores Hospice.

A good crowd came out to catch the action in a long-standing friendly hockey rivalry between the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police and the Kincardine Fire Department on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

"Both teams gave it their all, and after a tough three periods, the ‘sharp-shooting’ South Bruce OPP claimed victory with a 5-4 win over the ’high pressure’ of the Kincardine Fire Department," according to the South Bruce OPP.

There were raffle prizes and kids enjoyed the chuck-a-puck event. The day resulted in over 20 totes full of donated food items.
