Huron County marks National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

The Warden of Huron County says the county will be marking National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in a number of ways.

Glen McNeil says county council and staff will be wearing orange t-shirts and they also have a variety of other events planned.

“One at the library is sharing resources and links from our collection for further reading and learning for all that are interested in this day.” said McNeil.

He also notes that Monday marks another important day.

“Monday is the national day to honour murdered and missing Indigenous women and girls and we're also focusing every effort into planning these events for Treaty and Reconciliation, which is the first week of November.”

More information can be found on the Huron County website.
