OPP investigate armed robbery in Wellington county

On May 15, 2021, at approximately 5:00 a.m., the Wellington County OPP responded to a report of an armed robbery at a residence on Sideroad 15 near Wellington Road 19, Centre Wellington Township.

It was reported that three suspects entered the residence and confronted the occupants armed with a handgun. Police say the suspects stole household items including electronics.

All three suspects were described as males, within their teens or early twenties. They were allegedly wearing dark clothing.

Police say the suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle in an unknown direction.

There were no reported injuries to the victims.

OPP uniform officers, with the assistance of the Wellington County OPP Crime Unit and the Forensic Identification Unit are continuing to investigate this incident.
