It is yet to be confirmed if a suspected tornado near Mitchell touched down on Monday, August 3.
But Western University's Northern Tornadoes Project is looking into.
A tornado warning was issued for Perth County just before 1 p.m. on Monday and Environment Canada issued a statement indicating that there may have been a tornado north of Mitchell.@westernuntp has confirmed three Aug 2 tornadoes.

A storm spotter confirmed wind gusts of up to 90 km/h with tree damage in the area.
A warning of severe weather was posted for Huron, Perth and northern parts of Wellington for the early part of the day on Monday.
