Bluewater Board Says OSSTF Education Support Staff Begin Job Action

The Bluewater District Secondary School is reporting that the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation Educational Support Staff Members are entering phase 1 of province wide labour action.

The OSSTF says a failure to reach an agreement at the central bargaining table prompted a limited withdrawal of some services starting this week.

This includes education assistants, early childhood educators, professional student services personnel, office professional and technicians.

The Bluewater board understands that this phase of job action will focus mainly on administrative duties.

Secondary Schools remain open to students during the current level of job action.
