The Fire Department of North Huron was called out around 4:30pm. Mutual aid was called in from Lucknow and Goderich. Firefighters were able to confine the fire and save half the structure.
Damage is estimated at $250,000.
Officials say the fire started as a result of methane gas build up in barn.
OPP have reopened Bruce Road 3 following an investigation.
