Minto Mad Dogs U15 win International Silver Stick in Pelham

The Minto Mad Dogs U15 hockey team won the International Silver Stick championship held in Pelham.

The tournament took place from January 8-11, and saw the Mad Dogs go undefeated with a perfect 6-0 record.

That included beating the Petoskey Jr. Northmen from Michigan, 6-4 in the final.

This perfect run followed the Mad Dogs also going 6-0 in their regional Silver Stick tournament, as they went a perfect 6-0 in Kincardine at the start of 2026.

More than 80 teams played across seven divisions in Pelham, with only 14 qualifying for the U15HL/LL (House League/Local League) division.

Additionally, the U15 South Huron Sabres also were champions in Tier 3 at the same tournament in Pelham.
