A major announcement appears set for Port Elgin next week.
A press conference will take place Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 2 p.m. at the Port Elgin Curling Club. Organizers say details will be revealed about one of the largest curling events ever hosted in the region and "possibly the country."
The announcement comes as Curling Canada has recently completed applications for communities across the country hoping to host various major championships, including the prestigious Brier, although officials have not yet confirmed which event will be unveiled.
