Owen Sound Attack goalie Carter George may have played his best game in the OHL.
The Attack hosted the Kitchener Rangers on Saturday and won 3-2 in a shootout.
George made 50 saves and got an assist in the win.
Kitchener had 19 shots in the first period, however, George was able to save 18. The only one able to find the back of the net came off the stick of Evan Headrick.
The second period was very similar as Kitchener more than doubled the number of shots by the Attack. Thanks to George, they only gave up one goal. This one came from Christian Humphreys.
Before the end of the period, the Attack would get on the board when Masen Wrey scored his 9th goal shorthanded. Getting the assists were Alec Leonard and George.
Kitchener came out flying in the third period, though it was Max Bleicher who scored his 2nd career OHL goal to tie the game for the Attack. Elliot Arnett and Declan Waddick with the helpers.
Neither team scored during the last 11 minutes of the period and five minutes of overtime, meaning a shootout would decide the winner.
Landen Hookey and Waddick would score, while George stopped both of Kitchener's attempts.
With the win, Owen Sound improves its record to 21-31-4-3, while Kitchener moves to 42-13-4-2.
The Attack's next game is on Friday, March 7, on the road against the Erie Otters.
