The Kincardine Bulldogs have bolstered their blue line ahead of the Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL) playoffs by signing former Owen Sound Attack defenseman Madden Steen.
The Guelph native brings three seasons of Ontario Hockey League (OHL) experience, and Bulldogs GM Warren Beisel says Steen will be a key presence on and off the ice.
"(Madden) stands to strengthen our back end as we conclude the regular season this weekend and prepare for the playoffs. His OHL experience will benefit the entire team, and his skill set will make us stronger in all three zones," said Beisel.
The move also carries a family connection. Madden’s father, Tim Steen, played for Kincardine in the mid-'90s.
Steen is expected to make his PJHL debut for the Bulldogs on Saturday, February 15, 2025 against the Wingham Ironmen, which is who the Bulldogs will face in the first round of this year's Pollock Division playoffs.
