The Owen Sound Attack were doubled up at home Sunday afternoon against the Kingston Frontenacs.
Despite goals from Landen Hookey and Tristan Delisle, the Attack couldn’t rebound from an early three goal deficit and lost 4-2.
Kingston scored three goals in the first period. The first came from Emil Pieniniemi with the next two being scored by Gabe Heyes.
The Attack were outshot 17-4 during the first 20 minutes.
They came out much better in the second period with Hookey getting them on the scoreboard with his 24th of the season around eight minutes in. Getting the assists were Pierce Mbuyi and James Petrovski.
Delisle found the back of the net later in the period. His 9th goal was assisted by Braedyn Rogers and Hookey.
The Attack were only able to muster three shots in the third period, helping Kingston avoid the collapse. Heyes added an empty-netter for the hat-trick, capping the scoring.
With the loss, Owen Sound sees its record drop to 17-28-3-3, while Kingston moves to 30-14-5-2.
The Attack's next game is on Friday, February 14, at home against the Erie Otters.
