Ontario Elite Hockey League champion to compete for Allan Cup

The Ontario Elite Hockey League will be participating in the most prestigious senior hockey tournament.

A release from the OEHL shares that the 2025 “AA” playoff champion will not only win the J.F. Paxton Trophy, but will also be granted admission to the Allan Cup Challenge tournament, which will be played April 20-26 in Waterdown, Ontario.

The Allan Cup was established in 1909 and is Canada's oldest national hockey title, awarded annually to the best senior team in the nation.

The OEHL champion will be joined at the Allan Cup Challenge by host Wentworth Gryphins, defending champion Dundas Real McCoys, Stoney Creek Tigers, and two teams from Newfoundland & Labrador, the St. John’s Rooftech Capitals and Clarenville Ford Caribous.

The OEHL 2025 playoffs set to start the weekend of February 7.
