It’s safe to say Owen Sound’s Sunday game against London turned into a goalie duel.
The Attack’s Carter George and the Knights’ Aleksei Medvedev combined to stop 80 shots in what turned out to be a 2-1 victory for London in overtime.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net until four minutes left in the second period. London’s Jacob Julien ended up scoring his 3rd of the season.
The Attack were just over a minute away from being shutout when Braedyn Rogers scored his 1st of the year and just his 3rd career OHL goal to tie the game.
Each team got opportunities to score in overtime, however, it was Toronto Maple Leafs’ prospect Easton Cowen who would score and win the game for London.
Owen Sound has now lost eight straight games, getting just three points during that time thanks to this overtime loss and two shootout loses.
With the loss, the Attack sees its record drop to 3-8-2-2, while London moves to 10-4-0-0.
Owen Sound’s next game is on Wednesday, November 6, at home against the Sarnia Sting.
