Attack trade captain Barlow to Oshawa

A major trade domino has fallen in the OHL.

The Owen Sound Attack have traded captain and elite goal scorer Colby Barlow to the Oshawa Generals.

Barlow, a Winnipeg Jets prospect, recently returned from NHL camp and had informed the team prior to his return that he would like to be traded.

Attack GM Dale DeGray has granted that wish, sending Barlow to last year's Eastern Conference champions.

In return, Owen Sound gets 17-year-old forward Tristan Delisle, 17-year-old defender David Bedkowski, a 2nd round pick in 2026 and 2027, a 3rd rounder in 2025 and 2026, a 5th rounder in 2028 and a 7th rounder in 2026.

In 168 games for Owen Sound, Barlow amassed 184 points, good for 22nd in franchise history. His 116 goals put him 6th all time for Owen Sound.

The Winnipeg Jets took Barlow in the first round, 18th overall, in the 2023 NHL entry draft.
