The annual MacPherson Challenge is approaching, and several local GOJHL players will be participating.
The MacPherson Challenge is hosted by St. Andrews College and features U18 players from Ontario, Alberta, and the northeastern United States. This year's 39th edition is the first after a two year hiatus from the pandemic. On the GOJHL team, Stratford Warriors forward Jonas Schmidt will be joined by St. Marys Lincolns defender Grayden Strohack, and Lincolns star goalie Carter George.
The tournament will be held in Aurora from January 27-29. Admission is free.
