More PJHL playoff series finalized, Pollock Division award winners

The PJHL Pollock Division semi-finals start Tuesday night with Wingham in Hanover for Game 1 at 8 p.m.

The full series is now set and Game 2 in Wingham Friday.

The Pollock Division season award winners have also been released.

Mitchell goalie Tyler Parr has been named MVP. The Mitchell goaltender ended the regular season with a 1.58 GAA and .953 save percentage.

He was also named Top Goaltender and shared Top Goals Against with teammate Bradley Boville.

Mitchell Hawk captain, Malcolm MacLeod, was named top defenceman.

Hanover Barons' coach Pete Irwin was selected as Coach of The Year while Alex McGilvary was rookie of the year.

Wingham Ironmen forward Kyle Stanbury was Top Scorer. He had 45 points in 28 games this season, ending with 24 G and 21 A.

And Most Sportsmanlike goes to Mathew Weiler of the Mount Forrest Patriots.

The awards will be presented to the winners at various games in the coming weeks.

In the Yeck Division, the Exeter Hawks will host their first playoff game on Friday.

Exeter had a first round bye and will host Thamesford in Game 1 at 8 p.m.

Thamesford is coming off a series win over Dorchester in which the Trojans won 4-2.
