A release says the decision was made in compliance with local health protocols and to ensure the safety of all participants.
Sportsnet says it looks forward to celebrating Hockey Day in Canada with the community of Owen Sound in the winter of 2023.
The release notes that the Hockey Day in Canada broadcast will continue as planned on January 29th, and includes a day-long marathon of live National Hockey League coverage.
