WOAA senior hockey team voices displeasure about latest pause in the season

A director with the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks says another pause on the WOAA Senior Hockey season is a tough pill to swallow.

Jordan MacKinnon feels everything was in place for the Winterhawks this season to be title contenders.

"There is a lot of people upset right now, I think we all had hoped we were past this," said MacKinnon. "At this point, hoping it's just the three weeks and we can get back on the ice at the end of January.

The Winterhawks are right near the top of the standings, and had an exciting 6-5 loss in overtime against the first-place Ripley Wolves on December 29th.

As of now Ripley leads the 13 team league with 23 points. Saugeen Shores and Seaforth slide into second with 20 points apiece.
