Wingham team in mix at provincial curling tournament

A team representing the Wingham Golf and Curling Club is in a three way tie for first at the Ontario Mixed Curling Championship in Tecumseh.

The foursome of Shawn and Kate Cottrill of Belgrave and Wayne and Kim Tuck are 4-1 heading into the final day of round robin play.

The only loss for the team came Friday night against Team McLean and it was a 6-5 final.

There are two other teams at 4-1 and they are Team McLean, from Ottawa, and Team McDonald, representing St. Thomas.

The Tuck group has two more draws against teams who are 3-2.

The winner advances to the nationals in Canmore, AB in the second week of November.
