Harness racing returns to the tracks in Hanover and Clinton this weekend.
No fans will be allowed at the tracks but the races will be streamed through Facebook, You Tube and the track's websites.
Post time for Hanover is 1:30 p.m. Saturday and for Clinton it's 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Both tracks have some big events lined up for the season.
In Hanover, the first 2021 OLG Ontario Women's Driving Championship will be held on Saturday, July 17th. The second leg of the event will be held on Sunday, July 18th in Dresden. Five races will be set aside exclusively for the competition, with drivers earning points, depending on how they place, on an 8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis. Drivers will donate their driving earnings to the Canadian Cancer Society for Cervical Cancer at the Hanover Raceway stop.
In Clinton, the 2021 racing season is highlighted by the 2021 $50,000 Kin Pace, Annual Driver’s Challenge, and multiple Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots events.
“We are thrilled to offer these exciting additions to our wagering menu for the 2021 season,” said Clinton Raceway Assistant General Manager Tony Elliott. “We look forward to offering a great product for fans and horseplayers again this season.”
