Whenever local junior hockey fires up again, the Hanover Barons will have a new face behind the bench.
Head Coach Bobby Kirby announced via Facebook that he will be stepping down after three years at the helm of an impressive young team that has slowly been climbing the Pollock Division standings since he took over. In the last full season played, Kirby led the Barons to a 23-16-1-2 record, good for 49 points and 4th overall in the division.
Kirby amassed a 38-37-3-6 record over the last 2 full seasons, with a couple 4th place finishes after the Barons finished 5th and 7th in the 2 seasons prior to his hiring.
