Leafs the focus on MWO Sports on CKNX

MWO Sports returns to CKNX and the Toronto Maple Leafs are the main focus.

Hockey talk show host Steve Kouleas talks about how the team addressed major issues from previous seasons.

"They got Joe Thornton for leadership. Imagine leadership, grit and defence helping a team win," said Kouleas. "I think Brendan Shanahan was on a few teams that had that as well."

Kouleas also says the team is considering Auston Matthews for penatly killing situations which only help the team and him.

"Matthews will only get better," added Kouleas. "It's really his team. He's the first line centre, Tavares is number two, that's as good as a one-two punch you're going to have."

MWO Sports is on CKNX Friday at 6 p.m. and you can listen live by clicking here.

And Toronto Maple Leafs hockey returns to CKNX next week with the season opener against Montreal on Wednesday.
