Stratford native and San Jose Shark defenceman Jacob Middleton joins MWO Sports on CKNX Friday night.
Middleton played with the 'AAA' Huron-Perth Lakers before moving on to the OHL and eventually the pros.
He says it's been up and down through the year with COVID-19 with a lot of starts and stops.
"We were hearing a November 17 camp was the original plan being thrown around, so you start training to be in shape and that kind of falls through," said Middleton.
He will also talk about adjusting between junior and pro and what it is like to have the support of family growing up playing hockey and making the drive from Stratford to Clifford for practices and shares some insight about former Shark Joe Thornton who will wear a Leafs' sweater in the coming season.
"One thing Jumbo brings everyday is he has a smile on his face and that kind of hits home with you."
Former NHLer and hockey analyst Dave Poulin also joins the show to talk about the possibilities for the NHL this season and shares a story about skating for Mike Milbury while playing for Boston.
