Listowel's Corey Conners swings away on MWO Sports

Corey Conners joins MWO Sports tonight at 6 p.m. on CKNX.

Conners, who is currently in Houston competing in an event, will recap his start at the Houston Open and will also touch on his anticipation for the Masters.

"I think I have learned a lot over the last year as a pro," said Conners. "And in 2015 as an amateur, I learned a lot in each round and each time I played the golf course. I'm really looking forward to getting back."

The Masters had to be moved to November from its traditional April date because of COVID-19.

"I think the weather forecast looks pretty good. Temperature wise some people were concerned it might be a little cool getting into mid-November but it looks like it's going to be pretty nice," added Conners.

Other points of the discussion will touch on his growth in the game, some of the challenges he and other players have faced this year because of COVID-19 and what he has seen and heard about the state of the game itself.

"Golf Canada has been doing a great job at the local level and the provincial level designing programs trying to get kids interested in golf. And hopefully I'm inspiring some kids to get into the game as well," said Conners.
