Cyclones hope for a repeat of the past under Brooks, again

The Listowel Cyclones have made a huge announcement regarding their coaching staff for the upcoming season.

Former Head Coach Jason Brooks is returning for the 2020-21 season. Brooks stepped down as coach following the end of the 2018-19 season. He first took over the Cyclones in the 2014-15 campaign, and led the team to unprecedented success, winning back-to-back Cherrey Cup championships in 2017 and 2018, and winning the franchise's first ever Sutherland Cup in 2018, as well.

Brooks will be joined by Jesse Cole, who took over as head coach last season and Brady Anderson, a former Cyclone star who was part of all 3 championships under Brooks. Jeff Goldie will be leaving the team as an assistant to take up a position with the Grey-Bruce Highlanders AAA program. Brett Nichol will shift to a management/executive role.

Brooks holds a record of 170-66-10 with 1 tie as head coach of the Cyclones. He led the team to 3 straight 1st place finishes in the GOJHL's Midwestern Conference his last 3 years with the team. He led the Cyclones back to the Cherrey Cup Final in his last season in 2018-19, losing in 6 games to the Waterloo Siskins.
