Down to the stretch at Clinton Raceway

Wagering remains strong as Clinton Raceway winds down its season with three weeks left of racing.

$57,000 was wagered Sunday.

But in a release, officials say they had to work through some technical difficulties and ensure race fans they are working to get connections up for next week's feed.

The fastest mile Sunday came in Race 2 as Larjon Leah, leaving from post position two, finished in gate to wire style for driver Brett Macdonald in 1:59. Larjon Leah is owned and trained by Goderich native, Larry Lane and comes off of an impressive 1:58.3 win last Sunday in Clinton.

Racing continues August 23 with a 1:30 p.m. post time. Watch and wager online with information at www.clintonraceway.com.

The season rounds out with the $15,000, 5th Annual Vic Hayter Memorial Trot on Sunday, August 30 and the 40th Annual Charity Driver's Challenge on the final day of the 2020 season, Sunday, September 6.
