The Owen Sound Attack have named goaltender Mack Guzda as the 2019-20 recipient of the Pat McReavy award as the team's "Unsung Hero."
The Knoxville, Tennessee native played in 51 of the Attack's 62 games this year before the season was postponed due to COVID-19. Guzda put up a record of 24-20-7 making 1454 stops. He also earned two shutouts and put up his first ever points with 2 assists.
Guzda also significantly improved his other goalie stats, making a 22 point jump on his .878 save percentage from last year to post an even .900 this season. He is also closing in on the team record for most wins, sitting currently at 58. That puts Guzda just 28 back of Jordan Binnington's franchise record of 86 as Guzda gets set to head into his age 19 season.
Last year, Barrett Kirwin was the Attack's recipient of the Pat McReavy Unsung Hero award, with Aidan Dudas earning the honour in 2017-18.
