Former Cyclones player heading to the NCAA

A former Listowel Cyclone is heading to the NCAA.

Wallace native Mitch Deelstra has announced he has committed to NCAA Division 1 Ferris State. Deelstra played minor hockey locally for the Huron-Perth Lakers, before joining the Junior C Wingham Ironmen for a season. He then played 2 years in Listowel, winning two Cherrey Cups and the team's first ever Sutherland Cup.

This year, Deelstra is back for his second year in the Junior A BCHL with the Alberni Bulldogs, where he has 18 points in 19 games played.
