Cyclones put together three win weekend

The Listowel Cyclones came out of the weekend with six points, ending the run with a 3-2 win on the road in Waterloo.

Teeswater's Craig McKague gave Listowel the early lead at the 3:50 mark of the first period. Waterloo would tie it but Tyler Hotson would score his eighth of the season at 15:54 to give Listowel for the second time in the game.

The teams exchanged goals in the second period with Brenden Clayton's power play marker at 14:08 the winner.

Evan Morrison made 22 saves for his sixth win of the season.

That capped off the three game weekend for the Cyclones that also included a 5-2 win in Cambridge on Saturday and a 4-3 double overtime win against Brantford Friday night in Listowel.

Listowel only has one game this coming weekend and that is Friday, November 1 at home versus Kitchener, a 1 vs. 2 in the standings. The Dutchmen are one point ahead of Listowel for first and both teams have played 17 games so far this season.

Kitchener beat Brampton 4-2 on Sunday and Cambridge edged Elmira 3-2.
