Listowel's Corey Conners is the low Canadian after the opening round of the British Open.
Conners shot a 1-over on the first day of play at Royal Portrush to sit tied for 57th. The 27-year-old birdied the second and fourth holes while hitting bogeys on the 7th, 16th and 18th holes.
Fellow Canadian Adam Hadwin is at 2-over and tied for 73rd. Austin Connelly rounds out the Canadian contingent and is tied for 115th at 4-over.
J.B. Holmes is in the lead at 5-under.
