Game one of the Stanley Cup Final is Monday in Boston between the Blues and Bruins.
Hockey analyst Gino Reda told CKNX's MWO Sports that despite the Blues maybe being underdogs to the Bruins, that's only because of a poor start to their year.
"The only reason they were the 12th seed is because they were awful in the first half of the season," said Reda. "In the second half of the season these guys were number two and number four overall in the NHL."
Reda says in terms of the two goalies, former Owen Sound Attack goalie Jordan Binnington for St. Louis and Tuukka Rask in Boston, he's leaning toward the veteran option.
"I like Rask and here's why I say this, not just for the money, but Rask has been there before," said Reda. "This is a guy was just there in 2013."
But in the end when the teams collide starting Monday, Reda is going with Western Conference winner.
"The popular call right now is Boston but I'm going to go St. Louis," predicted Reda. "I just love what Craig Berube has done with that team. I'm going to go with St. Louis and I'm going to go in six games."
Ryan O'Reilly has 14 points in the playoffs for the Blues, including the three assists he picked up in the clinching game against San Jose.
