Nationals plow past Siskins for Game 3 win

The London Nationals beat Waterloo 6-2 in Game 3 of the Sutherland Cup, cutting the Siskins' lead in the series to 2-1.

London carried a 3-2 lead into the third period and was able to score twice in just over a minute early in the period to put the game on ice. London scored at 2:15 and 3:49 to take a three goal lead at the time. London's sixth goal came on the power play late in the period.

That third period was a penalty filled affair.

Along with a number of minor penalties, there were two gross misconducts, and a five minute major along with a game misconduct.

And the Siskins lose players for the next game.

Forward Owen Lane was flagged for a gross misconduct for taking off a helmet and defenceman Tyler Dam was given the five minute major for high sticking, along with a game.

London will be without forward Cohen Kitely because of a gross misconduct as well.

Game 4 is tonight in Waterloo at 7:30 p.m.
