Holdyn Lansink scored twice and added two assists as the Cyclones beat Brampton 4-1 to go up 3-0 in the first round playoff series in the GOJHL Midwest.
The highlight reel goal was a 2-on-1 break out in the second period. Lansink drove down the right wing, put on the brakes, and chipped the puck to a streaking Chayse Herrfort up the middle. Herrfort then went forehand to backhand to score Listowel's third goal of the night.
Listowel was relentless on the forecheck all night long. But while Brampton may have been outworked at times, the Bombers were able to get some good hits in.
Listowel goalie Evan Morrison made 21 saves including one in the second period when he was forced to stack the pads. It was on a Cyclones' power play. The puck got by the point man which sprung Brampton out on a 2-on-1. The pass went left wing to right wing but Morrison was able to get to his left and stacked the pads to make the save.
Game 4 is in Brampton on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.
