Wingham 4 Goderich 1
The Wingham Ironmen have taken a 1-0 series lead in their PJHL Pollock Division playoff against Goderich.
Two goals within four minutes midway through the first period got Wingham's offence going and they didn't look back winning 4-1.
Logan Tolton opened up the scoring at the 8:05 mark of the first period. Connor Gibson then extended the lead at 12:12.
A Jamie Huber power play goal at 16:21 rounded out the first period scoring.
Ironmen forward Corey Restoule would score short handed in the second period and that's all Wingham needed for the day.
Goderich's only goal came at 1:14 into the thrid period off the stick of Noah Nurse.
Devon Carson got the win in net, stopping 22 shots. Kevin Linker was tagged with the loss stopping 30 shots.
Game 2 of the Best of 7 series is Tuesday night in Goderich.

Kincardine 4 Mitchell 0
After a slow start the series, Kincardine is picking up steam and now lead their Best of 7 series 2-1.
Kincardine scored twice in the first and twice in the third while keeping Mitchell's offence in check.
Jesse Carnahan and Logan Freiburger scored in the first for the Bulldogs, Freiburger on the power play. Then in the third it was Mike Fiegehen and Logan Swanton scoring, Swanton also on the power play.
Kincardine was 2-5 on the afternoon with the man advantage.
Kincardine goalie Craig Luinstra was perfect, stopping all 29 shots he faced. Ryan Govier stopped 23 shots.
Both teams are keeping the opposing goalies busy as Kincardine has outshot Mitchell 98 to 84 over the first three games of the series.

The PJHL Yeck Division playoffs will start this week.
The Exeter Hawks finished second in the division with 61 points, just one back of Dorchester.
Exeter was 29-8-0-3 in their 40 games this season and will face the Aylmer Spitfires in the first round of the playoffs.
