Josling, Sproviero Shine In Sting Win

Sean Josling continued his red hot postseason to help lift the Sarnia Sting to a 4-1 victory over the visiting Kitchener Rangers at Progressive Auto Sales Arena Tuesday night.

The win puts the Sting ahead 2-1 in the best-of-seven OHL Western Conference Semifinals.

Josling scored a goal and added two assists, and now has five goals and eight assists for 13 points in nine playoff games. Franco Sproviero also had an outstanding game, potting two goals. He opened the scoring in the first period and netted an empty net goal late in the third.

Sproviero's empty netter was on the powerplay, and snapped an 0 for 33 slump for the Sting with the man advantage. Jonathan Ang scored the other Sting goal after being sent in on a shorthanded breakaway by Josling.

Joseph Gareffa scored the only Kitchener goal. Sting goalie Justin Fazio was solid in net, making 26 saves on 27 shots faced. Mario Culina stopped 23 of the 26 shots he faced for the Rangers.

Game four of the series will be played on Thursday night at 7pm at Progressive Auto Sales Arena
