Second Period Trio Helps Attack In Win

The Owen Sound Attack scored three time in the second period in a 6-2 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

The win puts Owen Sound up 2-1 in the series.

Attack centre Kevin Hancock got things going in the first period with his fourth of the playoffs at the 4:03 mark. The Greyhounds would tie it up midway through the period.

Then the eruption in the second. The Attack scored 24 sec into the second period courtesy of winger Alan Lyszczarczyk. The Greyhounds would answer just 14 sec later to tie it again. But goals by Aidan Dudas and Cade Robinson put Owen Sound ahead for good.

Hancock would score his second of the game in the third period and Ethan Szypula would add one for good measure.

Owen Sound goalie Olivier Lafreniere stopped 28 shots for the win.

Both teams were 1-4 on the power play.

Game 4 of the series is Wednesday at 7 p.m.
