Cyclones Even Up Sutherland Cup Semi-Final

A persistent attack by the Listowel Cyclones gave the club a 3-0 win over the London Nationals to tie up the Sutherland Cup semi-final series at one.

Ben VanOoteghem opened the scoring late in the second period when he tried a wrap around and got three chances before lifting it high over London goalie Cameron Zanussi.

In the third period, just 1:12 into the frame, Chayse Herrfort got the puck high in the slot and snapped a shot high glove side for Listowel's second goal of the game.

Jamie Huber would add an empty net marker to seal it.

Listowel goalie Brock Baier stopped 36 shots for the shut out. Zanussi made 25 saves.

Listowel was 0-for-3 on the power play and London 0-for-5.

Game 3 is in Listowel Monday night at 7:30pm and the game can be heard on CKNX.
