OWHA Medal Winners

A number of local hockey teams came home with medals from the Ontario Women's Hockey Association Provincial Tournament.

There were a couple of gold medal winners. Saugeen-Maitland Lightning shut out Ottawa 1-0 for the gold in Bantam "AA". In Peewee "C", TCDMHA earned gold with a 4-0 win over Wallaceburg. And in Atom "C", South Huron beat Carleton 3-2 for gold.

In Atom "C", BCH blanked South Huron 2-0 in the gold medal game. BCH earning gold and South Huron earning silver.

In Bantam "C", TCDMHA earned a silver medal after falling 2-1 to Lucan in the final.

In Midget "B", Mount Forest earned a bronze medal with a 3-1 win over Oakville.

And two more teams just missed the medal podium as Bruce Peninsula fell shy in the Midget "C" Bronze Medal game, 2-0 to Almaguin. And in Bantam "C", South Bruce just fell short losing 2-0 to Belmont in the Bronze Medal game.
