Two pitchers headline the class of 2016 for induction into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in St. Marys.
Pat Hentgen pitched for 10 seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays, and was part of the World Series winning teams in 1992 and 1993.
Dennis Martinez pitched for the Montreal Expos for eight seasons from 1986 to 1993. He lead the National League in 1991 with a 2.39 ERA. He was an all star three times.
Also being inducted, BC native Wayne Norton who helped develop Canada's national junior program.
Toronto native Howard Starkman, a long time executive with the Blue Jays in a public relations capacity.
Former Yankee Tony Kubek who was a television analyst for the Jays for 13 seasons starting in 1977. He's also a Ford C. Frick award winner for excellence in broadcasting.
And William Shutterworth, who organized Canada's first formal baseball team in 1854 in Hamilton.
The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be Saturday, June 18 in St. Marys.
