Hishon, Meurs Among Names Added To Hometown Heroes Roster

Five more local names have been added to the roster for the Hometown Heroes Charity hockey game in Goderich.

Former Owen Sound Attack standout Joey Hishon (Stratford) has been announced along with his Colorado Avalanche teammate Garrett Meurs (Ripley).

The two current NHLers will be joined by Lucknow-native Bobby Raymond, St. Louis Blues prospect Jeremy Welsh (Bayfield) and former NHLer Brad Aitken (Central Huron).

The game supports the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich, the Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health in Seaforth and the Goderich-Huron YMCA.

The game will be played on Thursday, July 23rd at the Maitland Rec Centre in Goderich.
