The Walkerton Hawks now hold a firm 3-0 grip on their series with Alliston after a 5-1 victory Saturday night.
Alliston spent a fair share of time in the penalty box and Walkerton made them pay.
CJ Arthur would draw first blood for Walkerton. Alliston would find an answer to wrap up the opening period at a 1-1 score.
Walkerton's power play would get plenty of time in the second. The Hornets were penalized on six straight occasions, leaving the door open for the hosts. Carter Franks and Brendan Welsh would each score for Walkerton on the man advantage, who carried the two goal lead into the third.
Once again it would be the power play finding the mark. Calvin Penney would score five minutes into the third period. Chris Gillman would add the final nail as the Hawks set up a chance at taking the series in game 4.
The Hawks go for the sweep Tuesday night in Alliston at 8:00. You can hear all the action live on CKNX, CKNX.ca or the Blackburn Radio app.
