A pair of tie breakers had to be played at the Ontario Curling Association Intermediate Provincial Championship held in Walkerton. On the women's side, Cheryl McBain's rink out of the Rideau Curling Club in Ottawa downed Lynne Middaugh's Orillia-based rink 8-7 to win the championship. On the men's side, Cory Heggestad's Innifil-based rink defeated Rick Thurston's Dundas rink 5-4 to take the championship title. There were two local rinks in the tournament. Al Hutchinson's Paisley rink was third overall with a record of 4-3. Walkerton's Sara Almas finished in a tie for fourth, also at 4-3.
