Exeter On to Next Round

The Exeter Hawks clinched a spot in the second round of the SOJHL playoffs with a convincing 8-2 decision over Thamesford. Exeter takes the best-of-seven series 4-1.

At home, the Hawks dominated start to finish, out-shooting the Trojans 51-28 and scoring the first 6 goals of the game.

Chase Thornton lead the way for Exeter with a 3 point night, scoring twice. Thornton now has 12 points in the 4 playoff games he has featured in.

Adding in on the scoring was Seaforth's Liam Melady with 1 goal and 2 assists. 5 other Hawks got in on the scoring while James Morreau made 26 saves for the win.

Exeter awaits the end of a series between Aylmer and Lambeth. They will play either Mt. Brydges or Dorchester in the next round.
