United Way Bruce Grey has received a financial boost thanks to Bruce Power's supplier partners.
Those companies joined together to raise $50,000 to support United Way programs and social services that are designed to improve lives, give hope, and build stronger communities.
Maggie Tieman, Bruce Power’s Director of Community and External Affairs, highlighted the dedication of the United Way.
“Bruce Power's supplier partners recognize the incredible work United Way does in offering support to people in our community," Tieman added. "Our supplier partners are proud to contribute these funds for the United Way to use where they are needed the most.”
The contribution was warmly welcomed by United Way Bruce Grey, providing timely financial support for ongoing community needs.
“We are so grateful to the supplier partners for choosing us. This incredibly generous $50,000 gift from Bruce Power’s supplier partners was an unexpected and wonderful surprise," said Francesca Dobbyn, Executive Director of United Way Bruce Grey. "At a time when we are seeing more people reaching out for help, this additional support gives us the ability to respond to needs as they emerge. Their generosity will stay right here in Bruce and Grey Counties, helping local children, families and individuals through a wide range of much needed United Way programs.” Bruce Power, based in Bruce County, Saugeen Ojibway Nation Territory, Ontario, operates as a nuclear electricity generator powered by 4,200 employees delivering power across the province alongside cancer-fighting medical isotopes globally.
