Owen Sound seeks input for the River District Streetscape Renewal

The City of Owen Sound invites residents, business owners, and visitors to share their vision for the downtown core's future through a new public survey for the River District Streetscape Renewal Plan.

Working alongside O-Two Planning and Design, municipal officials are seeking community feedback to guide infrastructure updates across the commercial hub. The initiative focuses on enhancing public spaces with upgrades to seating, landscaping, wayfinding, lighting, and public art.

The renewal effort aims to create a more vibrant, cohesive, and welcoming environment for shoppers, diners, and tourists, while supporting local businesses throughout the River District. Public input gathered during this phase will play a direct role in determining capital priorities and design directions for upcoming physical improvements.

Community members can participate by completing the online survey, which remains open until November 3 at 4:30 p.m. The survey and additional details about the project are accessible through the city’s engagement portal.
