A 41-year-old Saugeen Shores man is facing several charges in connection with a drug trafficking investigation that began this past summer.
The Saugeen Shores Police Service said members of the Criminal Investigation Branch launched a drug trafficking investigation in Southampton on August 7.
Police said the 41-year-old was found and arrested on October 9.
It's alleged a search turned up an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine and Canadian currency.
The unidentified man was charged with four counts of trafficking a Schedule 1 Substance, possession of a Schedule 1 Substance, possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime.
Saugeen Shores police said the accused has previous convictions in 2024 for possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of trafficking.
He was held in custody for a bail hearing scheduled for October 10.
