The first taste of autumn chill is set to appear Monday night in areas of southwestern Ontario.
Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for Sarnia-Lambton, Bruce, Wellington, Huron, Grey, Elgin, and Perth Counties for Monday night.
"Temperatures are expected to fall to near or below the freezing mark [Monday] night into early Tuesday morning," read the advisory. "Damage to plants, trees, and crops is possible."
Environment Canada added that people living in frost-prone areas should cover outdoor plants to reduce the risk of damage.
Low temperatures are expected to be closer to the normal range for fall on Tuesday night and Wednesday night.
