A traffic complaint in West Perth led OPP officers to a stolen vehicle and an alleged impaired driver.
Perth County OPP were called about the vehicle around 7 p.m. last Wednesday. The suspect vehicle was stopped at Perth Road 160 at Line 32. Officers determined the vehicle had previously been reported stolen.
As officers approached the vehicle, the driver reportedly took off running.
Following a brief foot chase, a 30-year-old Toronto man was arrested. He is charged with impaired driving, possession of drugs, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and failure to comply with probation order.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Stratford court in relation to the charges on Tuesday.
