South Bruce OPP have charged a driver after they drove on a closed parade route in Huron-Kinloss.
According to police, officers responded to a call regarding a vehicle driving down a closed roadway onto a parade route on September 19. The vehicle drove around a road closure barricade and was stopped by a number of bystanders until police showed up.
Luckily there were no injuries and the driver, a 65-year-old from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh, was arrested without incident. He has been charged with dangerous driving.
The accused was released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton on December 9.
