Autumn is officially around the corner, and local communities are gearing up for annual fall traditions. The 167th annual Harriston-Minto Fall Fair returns to the fairgrounds at 111 George Street from September 18 to September 20, 2026.
This year’s fair carries the theme "Harvest Wishes & Pumpkin Kisses."
Gord South, President of the Harriston-Minto Agricultural Society, said it is a packed three-day schedule, kicking off Friday at 6 p.m.
"We have a Pork and Pie Auction that night," he explained. "Kids' areas will be open on Saturday. The light horse show and a horse pull too. This year we have the Game Asylum. It's geared to the younger folk."
Saturday also offers a baby show, a dog show and a chainsaw carving demonstration.
"There's a bubble foam party. There are lots of exhibits, and the parade is going to be happening as well," said South. "Sunday we have our breakfast, and there's a soap box derby. Pet Paradise will be there doing a couple of shows. The feature for the day is the lawn mower racing at 2:30."
Sunday features a car show, a cattle show and the famous beef and pork BBQ.
